Bodybuilders tend to eat more and especially more meat to gain the body mass needed as well as to expend enough energy for a day's full workout. I think this advice is very common and not surprising unless you have an alternative suggestion. At the end of the day, it's up to the person's perfect understanding of his own body makeup to know how much and what to eat.
